Just a short hop over the Torridge Bridge, is the large market town of Barnstaple, with all high street conveniences, cinema, theatre, museums and nightlife.
From Barnstaple, one is in easy reach of many magnificent North Devon blue-flag beaches including Croyde, Woolacombe, Saunton Sands, Braunton Burrows and Putsborough, all famous surf spots.
