Amazing views and a real treat when the sun is out. A short walk down to Woolacombe and the various sandy beaches but far enough away if you wanted a slower pace. Access to some beautiful coastline walks and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the trails

This is a lovely spot in Woolacombe, overlooking the ocean. 10 minute walk up to Mortehoe and a 20 minute walk to Woolacombe. Enough space for 2 cars to park with additional parking 10 minutes up the road in Mortehoe. Really loved the house, suitable for groups or families, I hope to come back in the future

It's a wonderful, spacious house, with plenty of room and facilities for 12 adults and 3 dogs. We love the big kitchen, the outdoor eating spaces, and the view out to Lundy Island is unsurpassable, with fabulous sunsets. Woolacombe beach itself is huge and great for surfing but it's worth noting that if you do have dogs the nearest easily-accessible beach does not allow them, and the next nearest (Barricane, which is mentioned in the listing and is lovely and has a cafe) they must stay on leads. The beach that you can see in the photos from the balcony has no rules (or facilities) and is stunning but honestly not quite as near as it looks! It's a good 10-15 minute walk down a steep path and across rocks though for us - aged from 22-59 - that was not a problem. There are lovely walks from the house (again if you have dogs note they mostly have to be on lead as there are sheep everywhere) and 2 lovely pubs and the best pasties up in Morthoe. This was our 2nd visit and we loved it again.

This was a lovely place to stay with a large group, in a very nicely finished apartment with a good amount of space inside and out to relax. It is near some lovely places, including a very quiet beach which can be accessed by crossing the road and going down some steps - about a 5 min walk I think! I would definitely recommend this venue, which is a lovely apartment in a fab location.

We had a wonderful weeks stay at the house. The views were beautiful, the seating areas inside and out were big enough for the 12 ( all adults various ages) of us to eat together and spend time together. We had great weather which helped as we could keep the bifold doors open all week which extended the living space to the outdoors. Parking was ok for our 3 very small cars so that worked well for us. The kitchen was well equipped with big pans and lots of crockery and cutlery. The kitchen was always busy! We loved the local little beaches. The nearest is Grunta beach, which allows dogs off leads in the summer. It’s a bit of a steep walk there and back down steps and across the rocks but worth it. Not too busy as out of town. Up the hill 10 minutes to Moreloe are 2 pubs. We enjoyed a drink outside at The Chichester. Enjoyed lovely walks round the headland and up behind the the house on beautiful national trust trails. Woolacoombe great for ice creams, pasties, surf shops and epic beach. All in all a wonderful week.

“Great place for a family to spend a week. House is well equipped, and beds all comfy. The surrounding area is very steep so not too suitable for those who have walking inabilities. You can get access from street level but there are internal stairs to the living area. Just something to note. Thank you for a lovely week.”

This is a large house with great rooms. The scenery from the balcony is fantastic. The house also comes very well equipped with almost everything we could think of. The home is spacious and very clean when we arrived. The instructions before and during were also very detailed and helped up greatly when we required. Fantastic little find with amazing views. Thanks very much to all the team at choice. You provided not only a wonderful stay with an earlier check in which was much appreciated, but you also made the booking and related process very easy and streamlined. Happy new year.

“This is a beautiful home in an amazing location. The sunsets are stunning. The little town of Morthoe is cute and has a few conveniences for the basics, but check on opening times as many are closed out of the summer holiday season. We would walk 15-20 minutes to Woolacombe beach daily saving on the hassle and cost of parking. The walk (or run) round the National Trust headline is awe inspiring and truly refreshing. I could easily have stayed here much longer than a few nights. Parking is tight so be aware of height and length restrictions. But ultimately enjoy your time here! It’s beautiful.”

amazing views, lovely accommodation Left on Aug 28, 2017 for a stay in Aug 2017 amazing views of sunsets over lundy and morte point from the living room and outdoor seating area. Spacious, clean, well furnished accommodation. 10 minute walk to the best beach in the area, tons to do. close to pubs, a shop, etc, but quiet and chav free. you need to be able to walk up hills. “Well equipped, spacious, great location and wonderful views of the sea” Reviewed on Trip Advisor July 12th, 2015 impressive lodge in a wonderful location. Very relaxing to sit in-side or outside on the decking taking in the lovely views. Close to woolacombe and the lovely Mortehoe with its quaint bars. A couple of good takeaways in Mortehoe if you don't want to cook and want to spend time on the decking. Great for a family getaway or with friends.
