WINDERMERE LODGE - PROPERTY OVERVIEW

Tucked away in the peaceful Forest Park Lodges near High Bickington, Windermere Lodge offers the perfect woodland escape in the heart of North Devon’s beautiful Taw Valley. Surrounded by 11 acres of mature woodland and neighbouring 94 acres of Woodland Trust land, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom lodge is ideal for families, couples, and outdoor lovers. Built to a high standard and thoughtfully equipped, the lodge combines rural tranquillity with modern comfort - just 1.5 miles from a village with local shops, pubs, a post office, and easy access to the coast and local golf courses.

Whether you're exploring scenic footpaths, cycling forest trails, or enjoying a lazy morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the trees, Windermere Lodge is a cosy and welcoming base for your Devon adventure.

LIVING AREA

The spacious open-plan living area is comfortably furnished with two sofas (one is a sofa bed) and an armchair. Entertainment includes a flatscreen TV, DVD player, a library of DVDs and CDs, books, and board games. French doors open onto a seating area, offering lovely views and easy access to the outdoors. For families, a stairgate is fitted for added safety and a soft play mat and toys are available for young children.

KITCHEN & DINING

The contemporary kitchen includes a dining table seating four and is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, double oven, hob, kettle, toaster, cafetiere, toasted sandwich maker, and all essential cookware, utensils, and crockery. Children’s plates and cups are provided, along with a high chair and a picnic cool bag with ice packs - perfect for beach or countryside outings.

BEDROOMS

Both bedrooms feature French doors opening onto a shared balcony with countryside views, along with wardrobes, chests of drawers, bedside lamps, hairdryers, and mirrors.

Two travel cots and a baby changing mat are also available on request.

BATHROOMS

OUTDOOR SPACE

Enjoy stunning woodland views from the first-floor balcony or relax in the outdoor patio area with table, four chairs, bench seating, two deck chairs, two sun loungers, and a BBQ for alfresco dining. A shed provides safe storage for bikes and beach gear. Children are catered to with their own patio chairs, and beach toys available in the shed, ensuring they have plenty of entertainment options during their stay. Parking is provided for two vehicles next to the lodge, with visitor spaces nearby.
