SAUNTON SANFIELD GRANGE OVERVIEW
Saunton Sanfield Grange is a fantastic choice for stag and hen weekends, big group holidays or milestone celebrations. Set in the peaceful hamlet of Lobb near Saunton, this large holiday retreat comprises two connected homes - Saunton Grange and Sunshine Cottage - which together sleep up to 26 guests. With countryside views, two optional hot tubs, and spacious social areas both inside and out, it’s the perfect base to relax, party, and explore the stunning North Devon coast. The golden beaches of Saunton, Croyde, Putsborough and Woolacombe are all within easy reach, and Saunton’s championship golf courses are just down the road. Both houses are dog-friendly and designed with group entertaining in mind.
SAUNTON GRANGE OVERVIEW
This 7-bedroom period property sleeps up to 17 guests and offers large group-friendly spaces with bags of character, making it ideal for pre-wedding celebrations, birthdays or activity weekends.
DINING ROOM
The grand dining hall features slate flooring, high beamed ceilings, natural stone walls, and two long wooden tables seating up to 16 - ideal for celebratory meals, themed dinners or games nights.
LIVING AREAS
The main lounge includes deep comfy sofas, a 51” wall-mounted TV and a decorative fireplace. Upstairs, a snug with leather sofas, a 32” TV and a generous DVD library is a great space to chill out, watch a movie or simply catch up over drinks. WiFi is available throughout.
KITCHEN
The farmhouse-style kitchen is well equipped with a double oven, grill, ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and all the pots, pans and utensils needed for group catering. A smaller breakfast table seats four - perfect for morning coffee or a late-night bite.
BEDROOMS
Bedroom 1 is a ground floor twin with wardrobe and TV. Bedroom 2 is a cosy ground floor double with a flagstone floor and garden views. Bedroom 3 is a king-size room with TV and a separate baby room with travel cot. Bedroom 4, upstairs, is a large room with two triple bunk beds sleeping six and includes a Wii console and children's games. Bedroom 5 has a double bed, TV, wardrobe and an en-suite shower room. Bedroom 6 is a single room with a wardrobe and bedside table. Bedroom 7 is a double room with TV, wardrobe and decorative electric fireplace.
BATHROOMS
The property has a family bathroom with bath, shower, WC and basin, a second bathroom with bath, separate shower, WC and basin, and an en-suite in Bedroom 5 with shower, WC and basin. An additional WC is found in the outdoor utility/laundry room.
OUTDOORS
The Mediterranean-style courtyard is ideal for barbecues, social gatherings and outdoor dining. A large lawn is perfect for group games or sunbathing, while loungers and a rotary line add practicality. A private hot tub sits in the Orchard Garden for the ultimate relaxation (optional extra). There is ample parking on-site and dogs are welcome.
SAUNTON SUNSHINE COTTAGE OVERVIEW
Sunshine Cottage is full of rustic 16th-century character and offers a more intimate setting while still being fully integrated with the main house. Sleeping 9 guests, it’s ideal for smaller groups or extra space as part of a whole-property booking.
LIVING AREAS
The charming lounge features original exposed beams and quirky farmhouse touches, making it a lovely space for relaxing after beach days or gearing up for the evening ahead.
KITCHEN & DINING
The sociable kitchen/diner is equipped with oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher and all essentials, while the dining table comfortably seats 10 - perfect for group brunches, cocktails or dinner before a night out.
BEDROOMS
Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor with bunk beds sleeping two. Bedroom 2, upstairs, includes a super king-size bed and single, sleeping three, with lovely sea views. Bedroom 3 features a super king-size bed and additional bunk beds, sleeping four.
BATHROOMS
The downstairs bathroom has a large shower, WC and basin. There is a first floor cloakroom with WC and basin, and a second outdoor WC in the washroom.
OUTDOORS
A private courtyard with sea views features a hot tub, BBQ and garden seating – the ideal pre-party or wind-down space. A separate lawn provides a safe and open space for outdoor fun. Parking is generous and dogs are welcome.
