CROYDE THATCHERS HIDEAWAY OVERVIEW
Escape to tranquillity in this charming semi-detached stone cottage, part of a trio of recently constructed period-style cottages nestled in the grounds of a 16th Century thatched Devon Longhouse. Located just a short stroll from the heart of the village and the enchanting path leading to the beautiful Croyde Bay beach, this cottage offers a perfect blend of seclusion and proximity to local attractions.

Whether you seek quiet moments or wish to explore the vibrant village and nearby beaches on foot, this cottage provides a quaint haven for your getaway.

Croyde is a charming little seaside village, with a variety of restaurants, shops and pubs in the area, along with it's very own Post Office. Many parts of the village date back to the 17th Century and a lot of the buildings built in that time are still standing around the village today and is home to one of the best surfboard and body board beaches in the South West. The beach is privately owned and has lifeguards patrols over the summer season. Croyde is also home to the National Trust's Baggy Point, these provide delightful walking with excellent coastal views. Cycling, horse riding, golf and tennis are all available locally.
The stunning Croyde beach is just a walk away through the Croyde Village, while Croyde village is conveniently situated near Braunton. Additionally, Saunton is accessible via hilly picturesque walking trail which starts 200 yards away from the cottage: and Putsborough is a 20 minute walk away and can be reached via a secret path Coombes Lane.
Barnstaple and Woolacombe are also within easy reach, offering everything you need for a fantastic holiday. Plus, you're near the renowned Tarka Trail, perfect for cycling along North Devon's old railway lines, or you can enjoy a leisurely walk on the North Devon Coast Path.
Although Thatchers Hideaway Cottage is within walking distance from the beach we thought that guests might appreciate being able to park even closer! Ideal if you have a lot to carry (kids/surf/bodyboards/windbreaks/picnics etc.etc.) or if want to sneak off for a cheeky surf whilst everyone else is still in bed!

LIVING AREAS
The open-plan living room, kitchen, and dining area of this charming cottage create a bright, spacious, and welcoming atmosphere. The high vaulted ceiling adds to the sense of openness, while comfortable sofas, cosy chairs, and a wood-burning stove provide the perfect setting for snug nights in. Enjoy home entertainment on the 40' Toshiba flat-screen Smart TV with its own Netflix account, access to YouTube, Facebook, Amazon Prime, and more. Free WiFi is also available, and there's even a Playstation 2 console for additional entertainment, playing both DVDs and games (a selection is included). Whether you're relaxing with a book or engaging in board games, this cottage offers hours of indoor enjoyment after long days at the beach.
KITCHEN & DINING AREA
The open plan kitchen is well equipped with gas hob and electric oven as well as integrated microwave, fridge (with freezer compartment), dishwasher, washing machine, and a good supply of cookware and cooking utensils. There is ample storage space for your food items. The centrally placed dining table seats 4.
BEDROOMS
Bedroom 1: The master bedroom with double bed is based on an attractive mezzanine level with sloped ceiling. Bedside tables with reading lamps, Hollywood mirror and chest of drawers are provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible. This sunny spacious room also has an en-suite WC with hand basin. There is a small ante-room between the bedroom and bathroom containing a childs cot and plenty of shelves for storage.
Bedroom 2: An attractive twin bedroom is situated on the ground floor with bedside chest of drawers, reading lamp and cosy reading chair. A third, single bed (trundle) is also available in this room - linen can be hired for the trundle - please see Add to Basket
BATHROOMS
Bathroom 1: The ground floor family bathroom is fitted with a bath with shower-over, WC and hand basin.
Bathroom 2: Upstairs en-suite with WC and hand basin.
OUTDOORS
The kitchen opens onto a delightful private area, enclosed to ensure the safety of any dogs present. It features steps leading up to a recently laid patio in an elevated courtyard, complete with an outdoor table, chairs, and parasol. This charming spot offers extensive country views and serves as an ideal setting for summer BBQs (charcoal BBQ; please bring your own charcoal) and dining outdoors. Additionally, you can indulge in a luxurious soak in the excellent hot tub* (available for hire at £130). A pathway extends from the front door to the adjacent property.
Dedicated parking for two cars is available right next to the cottage.
