The Lookout had everything that we needed for our stay. The beach was within walking distance. A few good places to eat (The Thatch in particular) and a fabulous ice cream parlour were 5 minutes walk away

We had a great stay: made the most of the shops a stone's throw away, esp. the ice cream! In the sea every day and came back to a cosy house. The downstairs shower was really useful.

We had a great holiday and would highly recommend this property. It was apparent a lot of thought had gone into its furnishing and provision. Facilities offered exceeded our expectations. We would definitely consider returning.

Lovely house, great location, beautiful inside. Garage converted to store surfboards and has a shower in which was ideal for us. Massive kitchen and living room with fire was lovely. Very central in Croyde, would recommend. Check in via keylock which was easy, although the check in was 4pm but check out is 10am which would be easier if it was later but was no major problem. All in all a great Airbnb.

Very nice indeed Very Clean Almost new As we travelled from overseas, the cottage was a fantastic home from home with towels etc. We have older children and whilst it would not put me off booking again, a couple of bigger body boards would have been great to make use of. Appreciate we are probably an option Musial customer and most guests probably bring all that along with them.

Modern house with character”Reviewed 28 September 2012 for a stay in July 2012Great central location allowing easy access to pubs and shops, beach and walks. The house is clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much. Only downsides for us: bunk room really only suitable for children and we would have preferred shower room to be within house, especially as weather was not perfect. Other than that, we would recommend The Lookout. “Very nice house and facilities provided in lovely village but parking lets it down especially if more than one car”Reviewed 6 August 2012 for a stay in July 2012All house was clean on arrival and information on facilities in house provided. Sky+HD a great bonus with sports pack too. Showerroom in garage very useful too. Free wifi a real bonus for kids who live on the internet too!The rear of the house has a useful and private area ideal for eating alfresco and BBQs or just relaxing at the end of a busy day.Bedrooms 1&2 had plenty enough storage but very little for bedroom 3.As this room has bunkbeds for little ones...this isnt likely to be an issue. Very comy beds and pillows. The only...and I mean only niggle was the driveway. Too narrow to park and get people out so ended up parking on the road outside which as the village can get busy does get full. We always managed to get a spot though. “Fantastic house in North Devon”Reviewed November 14, 2012 NEWWe really enjoyed our stay at The Lookout. We are a family with 2 young kids and we also had our au pair with us. The house is set up very well, especially with the wet room (i.e. garage) including shower for getting clean and warm after a day at the beach. You can feel that care has been taken to set up the house in the best way possible. We had a problem with the wifi which the owner helped us sort out quickly.

We had a very good relaxing stay at The Lookout and felt right at home as soon as we walked in. Please pass on my apologies to the owners as we meant to write a comment in their visitors book but forgot to do this when we left. We loved the house and as a longboarder I especially appreciated the surf room and the various surfing prints that are displayed in the house. The welcome card, wine & coffee was much appreciated so please pass on our thanks to the Stringers. I will be recommending The Lookout to my friends both surfing & non surfing and would love to return in the future. Thanks again.
