GEORGEHAM HILL RETREAT is a warm and welcoming 4-bedroom holiday home, based in central Georgeham. This lovely house, which sleeps up to 8 has stylish decor and is well equipped for a comfortable, relaxing holiday, including a large garden with countryside views.
Putsborough beach (with a surf school during the summer months and a cafe all year round) is less than 2 miles from this home. This can be walked, however we do recommend driving for day trips to the beach and there is car parking available. Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde beach are also all within an easy, short drive of this property.
KITCHEN / DINING
The inviting kitchen is well-equipped with features such as gas hob, oven and grill, microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetiere, coffee machine, fridge, separate freezer as well as children's crockery and cutlery. Leading down a step or two is the dining room/area with table seating up to 8. A highchair is available for your use. A handy utility room houses the washing machine, tumble dryer, iron with ironing board and clothes airer.
The kitchen/dining area provides easy access to the living room.
LIVING ROOMS
The spacious living room with wood-burning fireplace is accessed from the main entrance hall and provides comfortable seating for 6 plus bean bags. There is a smart TV and sliding doors leading out to the rear patio area and garden. There is also a separate reading room or children's lounge with comfortable seating, TV and Wii games console. From here, stairs lead up to a mezzanine bedroom. To the other side of the living room, access to the kitchen/dining room is found.
BEDROOMS
There are 4 bedrooms in total. The main staircase from the entrance hall leads to bedrooms 1,2 and 3
Bedroom 1: master bedroom with double bed and ample wardrobe space and has a lovely modern en-suite shower room. Views are enjoyed across the garden and to the surrounding countryside.
Bedroom 2: double bed, again with lovely views over the garden and countryside.
Bedroom 3: bunk beds and views to the front across the village and to the hillside beyond.
Bedroom 4: double bed, accessed via a separate staircase from the reading room and is of an open mezzanine style.
A travel cot can be provided on request (please provide your own linen for this item)
BATHROOMS
There is a family bathroom upstairs in the main area of the house (servicing bedrooms 2, 3 & 4), with separate bath/shower-over, WC and hand basin
En-suite shower room (in the master bedroom) has an en-suite shower, WC and hand basin
Downstairs WC and hand basin is off the entrance hall.
Bath and hand towels are provided.
OUTDOORS
There is a good sized south-facing landscaped garden (children will need to be supervised at all times as there are some drops) bordering onto fields and enjoying lovely countryside views plus a decked terrace with table and chairs for 'al-fresco dining'. A coal BBQ is provided, and bikes/surfboards can be stored securely.
Up to 3 dogs are welcome, please note that there is a charge of £40 per dog
There are two driveways providing ample parking for 3 vehicles to the front of the property, as well as parking available on the road.
The home is only a 5-minute walk to the local village store and amenities.
