Villages such as Lynton & Lynmouth and the walkers paradise, Watersmeet, are only a short drive away. CROYDE 3 LORNA DOONE is located in an extremely desirable position on Moor Lane only 2 minutes stroll from the beach and a short walk from the quaint and picturesque ‘chocolate box’ village of Croyde with its character thatched pubs and restaurants. Croyde itself boasts village stores, a post office, tearooms and surf shops. Accommodation at CROYDE 3 LORNA DOONE is of a very high standard. The apartment is light and spacious and makes an ideal venue for 2 small families or 1 large family.

LIVING AREAS
The open-plan kitchen/diner/living room is light, airy and has two sets of double glazed patio doors that lead out onto a decked balcony. The circular patio table seats 6 and is the perfect vantage point to admire the vista of rolling hills that surround Croyde, the sand dunes of Croyde beach, and to the sea beyond. There is a wooden dining table adjacent to the kitchen, this provides a good separation of the kitchen and lounge areas. The lounge area is fully carpeted and boasts 2 cream fabric sofas that enable 6 to relax in comfort. Your eye is drawn to the feature fireplace and mantelpiece. A large bookcase is home to a selection of books (including local guides and information), and a comprehensive visitor welcome pack that “is designed to help guests enjoy the Croyde experience”. The entertainment hardware includes a TV.

KITCHEN
Limed oak units with a light laminate work surface help to increase the feeling of space in this open plan room. The layout has been well thought out, with appliances comprising a dishwasher, washing machine, fully integrated fridge/freezer, single oven built into a tall housing unit with microwave located above, 4 ring ceramic hob set into the work surface, 2 slice toaster, kettle and liquidiser. There is a plentiful supply of glassware, coordinating crockery and cooking utensils.

BEDROOMS
Bedroom 1 has 2 bunk beds (sleeping 4) with 3 drawer bedside cabinet topped with a lamp. Ideal for children but also two adults. This bright room enjoys a view of the green hills to the front. There is an alcove providing hanging space plus an additional 3 drawer chest.
Bedroom 2 on the opposite side of the hallway, decorated in a vibrant lilac, is a twin room with two divan beds that can be put together if required. The beds are separated by a 3 drawer bedside cabinet topped with a lamp. There is also a wardrobe that provides hanging space.

Bedroom 3 is the double aspect master en-suite, overlooking Moor Lane. As well as the good-sized double bed there is an abundance of furniture, including 2 bedside tables each with a lamp, wardrobe, low cupboard, 4 drawer chest and full-length dressing mirror. However, the room is still spacious enough to accommodate 2 travel cots.

BATHROOMS
The family bathroom, with deep raspberry walls complementing the cream tiles and floral dado rail, is a good-sized room. The chrome power shower is separate from the bath in its own cubicle. The white suite also includes a pedestal wash basin with polished chrome fitments, low-level WC and a good-sized bath, perfect for relaxing in aromatic bubbles.

Bedroom 3 has an en-suite shower room containing a shower, pedestal wash basin with polished chrome taps and low-level WC.

We were left a couple of lovely treats on arrival , the apartment was just as it said light and airy and downstairs had a lovely shared garden , which was great to run around with the toddlers when not at the beach . And the balcony was fantastic to watch the sunset with a glass of wine . Everything was easy to find and plenty of appliances made cooking easy . We would stay again .

“Easter break” I have been taking an Easter break in Croyde for 7 years now and this is the best accommodation yet. Good location for the beach, the village, and for walks across the hills. The apartment was clean and well maintained and the welcome gift of wine and Easter eggs was a lovely surprise and nice touch. Good, spacious accommodation so 5 adults weren't tripping over each other. Kitchen very well stocked with utensils and pans so I won't need to take my own next time. Good parking. I can highly recommend this apartment.
