We booked this property at 6 weeks notice after having 2 previous holidays cancelled due to Covid and we are so glad we did. The property was ideal for our family of 10, ranging in age from 2 to 60. It was well situated being within 10/15 minutes drive from some lovely areas of beach: Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, Croyde Bay naming just a few. The cottage was well equipped and had all the necessities we needed. It was clean and spacious. We also hired the hot tub for our stay. This broke twice during our stay but was mended within hours. We really enjoyed our stay and most certainly will return at some point.

“Just had a weekend in this lovely farmhouse, perfect place to get old friends together for a catch up, such lovely reception spaces and plenty of bedrooms. The outside space is also great, perfect location with a fantastic pub just across the road. Would recommend to any large groups wanting to stay in the area, definitely worth the money”

Considering the size of the accommodation, the farmhouse was extremely clean. I was really impressed with the kitchen, which had lots of gadgets and so many mugs and glasses. It made such a difference by not having to wash up all the time ( there were 14 in our group).

A brilliant place to go with a large group. We went for a Netball social weekend away and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. All the bedrooms were lovely with extremely comfy beds and the social areas were large meaning that we could all be together for breakfast and in the evenings. Large garden to play some garden games or generally just chill out on the benches and a great location that allows you quick access to a variety of different places. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

“Lovely big house, great garden and location” Reviewed on Trip Advisor March 23rd, 2015 My main criteria werr to find a place in a good location that slept enough people. This house delivered that and a lot more. The accommodation was spacious and generous. Beds were some of the most comfortable I'd encountered, an important area that is overlooked all too often in hotels and rental properties alike. The house was perfectly clean with a well equipped kitchen and some thoughtful essentials provided for our arrival. A small issue was tackled promptly and effectively by the property manager. The outside spaces were well kept and pleasant with a nice big hot tub to the rear and a suntrap of a front garden shielded from passersby. Overall the house fit my needs but also delivered more than expected in terms of comfort and facilities.

“Gorgeous cottage retreat” Reviewed on Trip Advisor September 22, 2014 Just home from our stay at Poyers Farmhouse, and feel very relaxed and refreshed. The area is really pleasant, and the holiday rental is easily accessed and easy to find. We were a group of 9 plus a dog and found the farmhouse to be very comfortable. Having said that, it is a very well designed layout and is decorated to a high standard. You can see that care has been taken and it is a loved property by the owners, not just a money making scheme. Personal touches were seen throughout and it was a warm, safe, and comfortable place to stay. I would definitely recommend this farmhouse to other medium sized groups on a medium budget. It suited our needs perfectly and we were all very impressed and pleased with our choice. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

"The Groocok family (with Clarkes and Greenwoods) have had a fantastic week at Poyers Farmhouse in record summer temperatures! It is ten years since we had a big family holiday and we have been celebrating three significant birthdays: a 30th, 40th and a 60th. What a beautiful setting for such an event! We loved the house, the hot tub, the garden - perfect size for the children to play in. A couple of minor issues were fixed very quickly without question or fuss. Thanks a lot for helping to provide a very memorable family holiday, bringing four generations together."

“Amazing fantastic property in sunny north Devon.”Reviewed December 11, 2012 NEWJust returned from a fantastic stay at Poyers Farmhouse, the property is amazing and provided very comfortable accommodation for 6 adults and 6 children. The accommodation is superb with wooden and slate floors through the living area. The dining room is a real bonus, with a table easily big enough to accommodate 14 or more, along with a fabulous wood burning stove set in the massive fireplace. The lounge is lovely and cosy with another wood burning stove, while the kitchen is a real joy.We used the hot-tub every day, sometimes 3 or 4 times and it stayed perfectly clear. The area is also really nice, with the Tarka Trail just a short walk away and a large duck pond where the children enjoyed feeding the ducks and swans each day. Then a short drive away are three fantastic beaches - Saunton, Croyde and Putsborough with some amazing surf. Trip Advisor only allows a rating of 5, but would easily give this 10/10 and hope to come back again soon.

“The whole family under one roof :-)”Reviewed July 2, 2012We rented this property to get the family together for my husband's 65th birthday party. with 3 of our own grown-up children, each with their partners and 7 grandchildren aged from 10 to baby, this has been no easy task in the past. This property was fantastic! The house was well proportioned with plenty of space to accommodate everyone without it feeling crowded. Being able to seat everyone together at the large dining table was a real highlight. The kitchen also was well equipped to make catering for a group of this size easy. The hot-tub was a real asset with all 3 generations enjoying it in their own way!The local beaches were just a short distance from the property and enjoyed by all. The tarka trail was within easy reach. The kids loved taking scooters and roller skates along the trail feeding the ducks at the nature reserve a short distance along the trail. We look forward to heading back to Poyers Farm in the future
