The picturesque fishing village of Appledore is the ideal location for exploring the North Devon coast. Book a fishing trip, Visit Lundy Island, go crabbing from the house itself (it’s that close!). Alternatively take a ferry to Instow, catch frequent buses to Barnstaple and Ilfracombe or take a leisurely stroll exploring the maze of narrow streets and enjoy browsing through the art galleries and craft shops. APPLEDORE YARDARM is a large house on three levels with frontage directly onto the estuary and has both a terrace and a balcony with an unparalleled vista overlooking the water across to Instow. There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and inclusive WiFi internet access. For the more adventurous, 5 minutes away by car is Westward Ho! where there is surfing, kite surfing and body-boarding. The South West Coastal Path and the Tarka Trail cycle path are both easily accessible from the cottage. APPLEDORE YARDARM is perfect for a family seaside holiday and peaceful weekend getaways.

From the moment you enter the house, the views dominate. At entry level, there is an open-plan living area comprising the lounge, dining room and kitchen. This is a bright, airy and sociable space with sofas and great entertainment features including a TV, Freeview, DVD player, DVD selection, board games, books and inclusive WiFi internet access. Glazed doors lead onto a lovely balcony with superb estuary and ocean views. Stairs lead down to two bedrooms and stairs also lead up to two bedrooms.

A beautiful fitted kitchen contains all you could need for a stress-free self-catering holiday. Appliances include a fridge, separate freezer (downstairs), dishwasher, oven, grill, electric hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, blender, children's crockery, cafetiere, iron and ironing board, as well as a good supply of pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. A washing machine is housed in a cupboard on the landing. A welcome pack is thoughtfully included as well as use of a high chair.

Downstairs there is a freezer, ironing board and high chair in an under-stair storage area.

Stairs lead up to two bedrooms:

Bedroom 1: A spacious double with lofty ceiling, king size bed, TV with DVD player and great views to Chivenor and out to sea.

Bedroom 2: Comfortable twin bedroom.

Downstairs are two further bedrooms:

Bedroom 3: A large double bedroom with king size bed, TV with DVD player, tiled floor and glazed doors that lead onto a beautiful terrace with a table and chairs, which is enclosed by a sea wall. The perfect place to enjoy morning coffee in the sunshine while admiring the views of the tides coming in and going out with people enjoying the beach.

A cot is provided and all bedrooms have plenty of storage space and hanging space.

APPLEDORE YARDARM has 2 bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, each with a bath, shower-over, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Bath towels are kindly included.

Relax on the sunny balcony with table and chairs which is interconnected to the patio on the sea wall. The terrace at the back is connected by steps. You will be spoilt with views over the estuary, Instow, Crow Point and out toward the ocean. The courtyard area on the sea wall has outside seating for 8 + sun loungers - great for soaking up the sunshine or crabbing over wall! A complimentary disposable BBQ is provided. This is a real toes-in-the-water place with crab fishing from the terrace and real-ale pubs, good restaurants and a lovely delicatessen within 100 yards.

Free road parking is often possible within 20 yards (first come first served). Alternatively it is a two minute walk to the local car park at £15 for a week.
Two small dogs are permitted or one larger dog.

A children's playground is about 30 yards away near to where the car is parked.
